Description For Lab #8 - Newton's 2nd Law
Objective: To determine the relationship between mass and acceleration for a given applied force.
This simulation allows the mass of the cart to be changed as the independent variable. The mass should be between 0.5 kg and 3.0 kg and can be changed by using the slider or typing the value into the appropriate box. Once the mass is set, pressing "Take Reading" will start the simulatiom. When the cart reaches the end of the table the acceleration will be displayed. A small amount of variation is built into the simulation to reflect real world conditions.
